Q. how often should i wash my hair?
A. this is really a matter of personal choice. some women prefer to
wash their hair every day, others have been told that they should rarely
wash it. hair rules cleansers allow you to wash your hair as often as
you like, leaving it soft, supple and moisturized, not dry and frizzy like
many conventional shampoos. daily cleansing cream can be used every
day (fine textures may want to skip conditioner), and aloe grapefruit
can be used as follows:
Q. what makes your shampoos different
from conventional shampoos?
A. hair rules cleansers, daily cleansing cream and aloe grapefruit,
have been specifically formulated to gently clean all hair types without
ever depleting the hair of the moisture and pliability it requires to yield
a perfectly loopy curl pattern. because they are so gentle, they work
wonders in maintaining vibrancy in color-treated hair. unfortunately,
conventional shampoos don’t address the special conditioning needs
of textured hair. more often than not, they actually dry out and strip textured
hair of its natural oils. as a result, women with textured hair are
always trying to get their hair back to the manageability it had before
they shampooed.
Q. how often can i restyle my hair?
can i refresh the style without washing?
A. with hair rules products you can re-style your hair as often as
you like, with or without shampooing and conditioning. to refresh without
re-washing, simply mist your hair and add a touch of nourishment
to refresh the curl. hydrating finishing cream added to dry hair will also
help to polish up your style.
Q. i have a lot of fluffy, bushy but fine curly hair.
which styling products do you recommend?
A. the fact is bushy hair is a natural characteristic of textured hair
if it is not cared for properly. to start, shampoo with a moisturizing
shampoo such as daily cleansing cream. style with wavy mousse, a
lightweight product that defines and holds without crunch. what makes
wavy mousse so great is its ability to adhere to the curl without weighing
it down.
Q. sometimes my hair looks good but i need to
calm down the frizz. is there anything i can do to
define and add shine to what's there?
A. hydrating finishing cream will eliminate your frizz and add
shine.
Q. is there a trick to sleeping on my hair
at night?
A. tie a wide satin hair scarf completely around the hair, mid-crown.
wake up, fluff, work a bit of hydrating finishing cream through your hair,
and off you go. a satin pillowcase is another great option for wavier
types.
Q. i’ve been relaxing my hair for years.
how do i go natural?
A. transitioning from a relaxed to natural style is not as overwhelming
as you may think. simply stop relaxing it. here are a couple of ways
to go about it. 1: for starters, you can continue to heat style without worrying
about the damaging effects of your relaxed hair. it’s just play hair.
2: you can cut it and start over - and learn to love your natural hair! cutting
your hair can be a very emotional experience. but i've found many
women find it liberating. 3: or, if you’re not ready to take the plunge and
cut if off, you can get a curly weave, closely to the texture you desire,
and use wavy mousse as a lightweight styling solution. weaves are a
great way to transition through the process.
Q. i have relaxed hair. can i use
your products?
A. absolutely. chemically relaxed hair equally can benefit from the
gentle, moisturizing formulations of hair rules cleansers.

Q. i have straight hair. can i use your products?
A. of course! my business partner has straight, fine hair and is addicted
to these products. her routine includes aloe grapefruit clarifying
shampoo followed by nourishment. on days she is in a hurry, she will
opt for cleansing cream alone. she loves wavy mousse to help her
build volume without weight.
Q. i color my hair every six weeks. i’ve been told
that shampooing my hair every day fades my color
faster. what do you recommend to keep my color
from fading?
A. textured hair and color-treated hair both need a lot of moisture
to keep them looking their best. i would recommend switching from
your traditional shampoo to cleansing cream to help maintain the vibrancy
in your color.
Q. the more humid it gets, the frizzier my hair
gets, especially after i wash it. what can i do?
A. humidity loves dry, textured hair. frizz won’t stand a fighting
chance against our nourishment leave-in conditioner, topped with a bit
of hydrating finishing cream.
Q. i have fine curly hair and i can’t seem to
find a product that doesn’t feel sticky on it.
any suggestions?
A. our wavy mousse is the perfect styling product for fine hair. it
won’t get sticky, tacky or flaky, and will actually help to fluff up your
curls.
Q. after i shampoo my hair, it gets big
and frizzy. what kind of shampoo should i
be using?
A. conventional shampoos will dry hair, leaving it frizzy and out
of control. daily cleansing cream will help tame frizz by infusing your
hair with highly conditioning and softening ingredients like panthenol,
honey and hops. for extreme frizz follow with quench conditioner.
Q. i have fine curly hair. conditioner usually
makes my hair flat. what do i do?
A. you may have accumulated build up that weighs down your hair.
try aloe grapefruit clarifying shampoo to gently remove any residue
from your previous products. follow with quench conditioner to deeply
hydrate your hair without flattening it. style with wavy mousse to build
volume and define your curls, leaving them shiny and bouncy.
Q. i have kinky hair and my scalp is dry.
what can i do?
A. if your scalp is dry, you must stop using conventional shampoos! using hair rules products you can pamper and repair your scalp with daily
cleansing cream, gently massaging it on your scalp for soothing relief.
conditioning with quench will further help to replenish the moisture your
scalp needs. you should use aloe grapefruit clarifying shampoo once
a month, as a treatment to remove scalp residue and product buildup.
then do a deep-conditioning treatment with quench, leaving on for 20
minutes.
Q. can you show me the best way to apply
my kinky curling cream?
