Anthony Dickey, a 20 year-plus salon, editorial and celebrity stylist and the author of "Hair Rules: The Ultimate Hair Care Guide for Women with Kinky, Curly and Wavy Hair," which inspired this product line. Dickey, whose clients include Minnie Driver, Kelis and Sarah Jessica Parker, wrote "Hair Rules" in an effort to educate women about how to properly care for textured hair, and help them overcome negative stereotypes associated with hair that is not straight. Hair texture runs the gamut from kinky, curly, wavy to straight, or can be a combination of multiple textures and patterns all on one head. Each of these textures has a hair type that can be soft and fine, or coarse and thick, but the fact remains that kinky is on the opposite end of the texture spectrum from straight.
